THE CROSS OF DESPAIR …/ CRUCEA DISPERARII…

***

Motto:

“… I do not know how much we are cursed… to know who we are – I know that Jesus Christ is, also, what we call metaphysically: hope.” (Theophil Magus)

THE CROSS OF DESPAIR …

… as you look to the Cross, starting from the left to the right, counter clockwise,  you can see:

     in the mirror – you do not exist

     in  the inner thyself – you do not exist

     in the  worldwide – you do not exist

     in God Himself you do not exist and still –  you do exist in the Lord

Why do I need to be against myself?

Jesus Christ’s call:

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” ( Matthew 11/28-30)

“ … this lead-sky , alas!…/

birds –  soul lost in the winter…/

the hope of lead, lead…”

***

Motto:

     in oglinda – tu nu existi

     in launtricul tau – tu nu existi

     in lumea intreaga – tu nu existi

     in Dumnezeu Insusi tu nu existi si totusi – in Domnul tu existi

(Matei 11/28-30)

“… cer plumbuit, oh!../

pasari – suflet iarna…/

speranta de plumb…/

Leonard Oprea created the Breathing, an original type of essay in Romanian and world literature. The Breathing is a short, simple yet profound meditation on human condition, a meditation ended by a haiku.
