Another ”Mayflower” TALE without GOD

One day of the 21st Century, God decided to travel undercover in the USA.

After six days across the US, He told to Himself: “Not bad, not bad…”

In the 7th day He stopped his travel and tried to relax Himself by resting the whole day in a small “Travel Inn”, somewhere on the Atlantic coast of New England.

In that little room as den, after a good breakfast, lazing on the bed He watched some TV-news.

Suddenly, someone knocked at the door. “Come in, please”, said God.

“Sir,” spoke the manager of the motel, stepping in the room, “the Police are here and they want to see your ID. Are you so kind to show them some ID?”

“What ID?!” asked God.

Then, on the threshold on his room, appeared two policemen. One of them ordered: “The ID! Show us some ID!”

God looked to them. Thus, talked to the manager: “Did I give you a name or not? Did I pay you that room for this Sunday, or not? Did you ask me some ID, or not?”

The manager peered to God, regarded the policemen and, a little bit confused, answered: “You gave me a name, yes. You paid, yes. I didn’t ask you any ID, yes. But, see, we don’t know you.”

The policeman entered the room and ordered strongly: “The ID! No car, no luggage, you paid, no hesitation, cash, you, you are a suspect, man!”

God smiled to them and whispered: “Do I look like a suspect?”

“The ID!” shouted the other policeman. “O.K., what can I do, am I… who am I?” sobbed God and – disappeared.

The policeman faced the manager and grouched: “F…ck, I told you, he’s a suspect. Now, we have to find him, before something bad happen. Really, really bad! Damn! Damn it! I knew it…bad.”

“… the morning star blinks/

near a big pale and sad moon…/

 …black oysters on shore…”
